Snow Daze

Well, as I'm sure you can tell from the title; it's snowing. AGAIN!! Denver broke a record today for the most snow fall in October in ten years!! The snow's been coming down constant since last night. Judging by the accumulation in our back yard, I would say well over a foot!! I was standing on the deck and it was almost up to my knees!! It'll keep coming until tomorrow, so I'm anxious to see what the total snow fall will be!! Here's some fun pics of our day!
Braden starting playing the piano w/ this bucket on his head, so had to snap a pic!!
Then I got busted taking notice of his hat playing piano skills!
Got a feeling that there will be plenty of blogging about snow activities for the next several months since you've got to get out of the house sometimes!!
Snow angels are my personal favorite, but not when you get attacked by dogs while doing it!

The making of Snow Bear

The snow started falling Tuesday when I was on my way home from work. Phil & I can't remember the last time we were in snow that just kept falling and falling with out at least a little break!
Good thing both the boys are really loving the snow since it's feels like we're in for a
LONG winter!
The best part of snow is getting all bundled up and playing in it!!
So that's what we did!
Parker and Braden have never made a snow man before, so Dad did them one better and they got to make a Snow Bear! The boys were gathering up as much snow as they could and packing it together for Dad.
Due to Braden's short attention span, he decided to swing while Parker and Dad finished up.
Smoothing out the fine lines and wrinkles
Nose job
(or red lego)
Voila!!
Mr. Snow Bear
Parker was in charge of the 3 buttons made of rock
&
Braden substituted the Top Hat for some leaves.

Fall Snow

Last weekend the boys enjoyed a weekend of snow play,
and their first taste of what this winter will bring....brrrr!!!
We stayed inside most of the weekend since we were all sick,
but it was so nice to light up the fireplace and enjoy a snow day!

I had to post this pic of Parker throwin' up his snow man gansta sign!

Mom helped me pull some more things out of boxes while she was in town. I love sifting through old boxes and finding things I totally forgot I had.
I went through some boxes I hadn't seen since we lived in Flagstaff!!
Great memories!! And you can really start to enjoy just sitting a one room and relaxing, instead of looking around thinking of ALL the things you SHOULD be doing!

Of course Parker has to have his picture taken....

Promises Promises

I have been promising my nephew Chase pictures of the boys' bunk-beds for months now so, here you go sweet boy!!
They were a novel idea, but apparently I was the only one who thought so.,,,
Parker refuses to sleep in the top bunk, and Braden is too young to, so poor Braden has spent the last couple months sleeping in his pack 'n play. For a couple of weeks Parker & Braden slept in the bottom bunk together, but Phil and I got tired of putting Braden to bed 10 times a night when he continued to climb out of bed and come up to our room, so the only way to get him to go to bed at bedtime, is to put him in his pack 'n play.

Gamma Robin's visit

The boys had so much fun with
Grandma Robin in town last weekend!!
We were so glad to see her,
and really made the best of the time we had!!
Just a few highlights:
Parker couldn't wait for
Grandma to push him on his
new swing set she got them!!
Saturday we went to the corn maze shaped like a dinosaur for the full moon, but it was overcast that night so that plan didn't work out so well.
Sunday we went up to the Red Rocks Amphitheater.
Sunday night was Chucky Chesses which is always a good time!!
Parker and Uncle Mike playing the toddler version of Dance Dance Revolution!
We quit counting how many times Braden went down this slide!
He was having so much fun!!
I took Monday off, and we met Sara at Mimi's Cafe!
This has become a tradition for our family since Dad loved Mimi's!!
Monday afternoon we drove up to Evergreen
to see the house my Dad built with my
Uncle Joe in the 70's!! So beautiful!!
I found the address from my birth certificate and it turned out only being about a half hour drive from where I live now!!
We enjoyed our visit so very much and miss you mamma!! See you in December!
