Our visit with Gramma Robin

We had a wonderful visit with Mom in town!! She flew in on Sunday and we headed straight to the mall for the candy store tradition that the boys look forward to every visit!! Mom helped me pick out a new dress for the wedding we went to... I would say that's one of the things I miss most about living in Phoenix, being able to meet up with Mom to go shopping or see a movie or just chat and have some quality girl time! :(
We really wanted to go camping while she was in town but didn't get the chance, so decided to roast shmarshmellows (as Parker says) in the backyard! Braden's eye is swollen from a bug bite poor kiddo! It was actually a lot better in this pic. Finally made it to the Coors brewery in Golden for their free tour!! I am SO going back!! Very cool! They actually brew several different kinds of beer; not just Coors!
We took Mom to Heritage Square for a day of fun in the sun!! Parker really enjoyed riding all the rides, but apparently Braden is deathly scared of rides. I was not aware of this before we hopped on the choo-choo roller coaster and he was screaming and shaking and clinging onto me like he thought we were going to crash! I was so sad, and tried to comfort him, but the ride seemed to last forever! I thought maybe it was just a bad choice in rides so I took him on the little balloon ride the just goes around and up and down, and same reaction just less screaming. Braden still found things he liked to do and had a lot of fun just spending time with Grandma! Next time: Alpine Slides!!!! Yayy!! We packed a lot of fun into a short visit & always love when Gamma comes to town!! Love you Momma :) See you in September!!
