Marc & Eunmi's visit

Uncle Marc & his girlfriend Eunmi came to visit us last week for a few days from Utah! They both had a short break from school/work so we were honored they considered us to spend it with!! The boys were absolutely thrilled to have them with us & kept them both VERY busy throughout their stay!!
Marc & Parker working with the set of Magz Parker got for his birthday! I think Marc really wished he had some too for anyone thinking of any future gift ideas (haha! wink wink)!
Endless entertainment! The Magz are a hit :)
Parker's doin' his super cool Magz dance
After all the excitement of their day (I was working) and a fantastic Korean dinner (compliments of Marc & Eunmi), it was time to wind down for story time!
Friday morning Babe made some strawberry waffles for breakfast and rain, shine or SNOW (Really!??! why is it snowing at the end of April?!?!), we were off to the children's museum (BTW - I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!)
Firefighter Parker
Firefighters Marc & Eunmi
Firefighter Babe & Braden
Building in the workshop
Shopping in the market
Cooking in the kitchen
Yummy, fried chicken topped with chocolate ice cream & an egg sunny side up!! Yup, my fav!!
Puzzle time
Me and my little tree squirrel
The boys both really loved painting! We've allowed the boys to dabble in paints at home, but I've been pretty uneasy with the mess making potential, so this was their chance to let loose and paint their little hearts out!!
Train building session
My future vet!
Vet or dancing seaman??
You vote!
Uncle Marc put on quite a puppet show just for Braden!!
We went to Woody's all-u-can eat pizza buffet, and learned that apparently you have to go between certain times to get in on the all-u-can eat, and it wasn't that time, so we still ate some yummy pizza and wings after the museum then home for naps!!
I was so ready ;-)
Since it was a rainy visit for them, we were able to spend a lot of quality time indoors playing games and the last night Babe made us kettle corn for a treat!! We really had a wonderful time with you both in town! Thanks again for making the trip! It really meant a lot to be able to meet Eunmi & have time to get to know her! We're very excited that Marc has met such a wonderful lady friend!

Parker's 4th Birthday Party

We decided to have Parker's birthday party in our backyard this year; it really turned out perfectly! We had a ton of fun, and it was nice to have everyone over to see the new pad!!
We went with the 'How to Train Your Dragon' theme this year, so as part of Parker's gift from us, I took his actual birthday off work and we went to see the movie in 3-D!! CUTE CUTE!!! Although it was impossible to keep Parker's 3-D glasses on him, so poor guy didn't really get the whole experience...
Parker ended up bustin' open the dragon pinata with a utility stick since the nerf ball bat broke during the first round! We served BBQ pulled pork sammies & BBQ chicken too! Babe made some cheesy potatoe bake which was FANTASTIC & baked beans too! Parker had a Strawberry shortcake birthday cake and it was a hit with the crowd!!
I used trick candles but I don't think anyone noticed, or maybe no one else found it funny, since I was the only one laughing! HeeHee :-)
It was the perfect day to spend time with friends and family; couldn't have asked for it any nicer!
Braden ate his whole piece of cake and even wanted more, although I can't say that I blame him; it was sooooo yummy!! Can't beat strawberries and whipped cream!!
We found Parker up in the fort of his swing set eating his piece!! Then he tried to ride the chair down the slide after seeing Kayden successfully complete that mission?!?! UGH BOYS!!! :)
So many thanks to all of our guests & friends & family that gave so many wonderful birthday wishes!! Parker had the best time and it was wonderful everyone was able to make down!!

Wonderful Easter Weekend

We had a wonderfully busy Easter weekend!! Friday night Sara and Billy came over to color eggs with the boys! Both the boys were really into it, but Braden was VERY excited, and kept saying EEeeeeyyyy when he was holding his eggs!!
Dad and Braden saying Eeeeyyyyy together
We had an Easter egg competition and my brother Bill was the judge via Iphone... there were three categories to compare all 3 of our entries: dye, decorations and name. Billy won Best All Around Egg (although I think the judge may have made a bias decision) and I won Best Easter Spirit Egg (hmmm, some consolation prize huhh?! heehee) :-)
We really had a lot of fun! Thanks for coming by guys!!
Saturday Brian and Joanna had a party at their home in Golden for their son's 18th Birthday!! It was just as much a party for them as for Kris since they have only got a few more kiddos before they're done raising their family!!!
Grandma Mary and Baby Sierra
Baby Karsten and Parker were enjoying having a book read to them!
Easter Sunday morning, after Easter basket & egg hunts at home, we met Bill & Sara at church which is actually right by our house! I love this picture of them and the boys after the service!!
After church we treated ourselves to a 'fancy' Easter Brunch at the Waffle House!!
It was yummy!
My Great Aunt Della and Bob had the whole family over for Easter dinner at their home in Lakewood and the cousins hunted for eggs!!
Parker was on the verge of candy induced breakdown in this picture...
Had to sneak in another picture of Baby Sierra (of course)
She had the cutest dress on for Easter!
After dinner we walked over to the park to fly kites! It was perfect weather All day and everyone really enjoyed it!
Parker scraped his elbow at some point in all the excitement and Karder was trying to make it feel better by sprinkling grass on it!
Hope everyone had a fantastic Easter with your friends and family!!
